The throttling device plays an indispensable role in refrigeration equipment. It can throttle and reduce the pressure of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant, ensure the pressure difference between the condenser and the evaporator, and make the evaporator too much refrigerant. It evaporates under the required low pressure to achieve the purpose of refrigeration; it can also adjust the flow of refrigerant supplied to the evaporator to adapt to the change of the heat load of the evaporator. The general type of throttling device can be divided into six types: manual expansion valve, floating ball expansion valve, thermal expansion valve, electronic expansion valve, capillary tube, and short throttling pipe: manual expansion valve is only used for ammonia refrigeration system, experimental device, and bypass. Road standby, etc.; in addition to throttling and reducing pressure and adjusting flow, the float expansion valve can also maintain a certain level of liquid in the evaporator. Suitable for evaporators with free liquid surface, such as: flooded evaporator, low-pressure circulating liquid storage tank, intercooler. Its characteristics: simple structure; large fluctuations in the liquid level of the floating ball chamber, and large impact force transmitted by the floating ball to the valve core, which is easy to damage.
